On Sunday, October 12th, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, presided at the celebration of the 40th anniversary of St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral and the distribution of the Holy Muron.

The Holy Muron has been delivered to St. Sarkis by our Youth Representatives Elina Tunyon and Serena Kossisyan.

On Sunday, November 16th, Fr. Vertanes will receive the Holy Muron after the celebration of the Divine Liturgy. He will then perform the Service of Renewal of Baptismal Vows. All those previously baptized are invited to participate in the renewal of Baptismal Vows and to be anointed with the new Muron. If Godparents are available, they are invited to participate in the celebration.

The Diocese has provided us with a short film about the Muron Blessing Ceremony at Holy Etchmiadzin and the Holy Muron distribution ceremony at St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral. We will run the film in Acopian Hall immediately following services November 2nd.
