Saint Sarkis Christmas Party and Pageant

Sunday, December 19th St. Sarkis celebrated the Christmas Holiday with Parish Christmas Event that included the children’s Pageant presentation, directed by Sylvie Yessayan,  and then Parish luncheon in the Acopian Hall. Over eighty people were in attendance that enjoyed the meal while listening Christmas music and songs; the children had an excellent time with the arrival of Santa Claus and the distribution of the gifts.

Diocesan Legate Meets With U.S. Secretary of State, White House Officials

Archbishop Vicken Aykazian, Director of Ecumenical Relations at the Eastern Diocese, met last month with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman, and National Security Adviser Gen. James Jones.

Nagorno-Karabagh Delegation Visits Eastern Diocese

On Monday, September 27, Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern), welcomed a delegation from Nagorno-Karabagh led by Mr. Ashot Ghulian, the speaker of the Nagorno-Karabagh National Assembly.

Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs visits Diocesan Center

On Wednesday, September 22, Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern), welcomed Edward Nalbandyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, and his wife Mrs. Natalya Nalbandyan, to St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral and the Diocesan Center.

Sunday, September 12th, 2010 was a joyous and memorable day for St. Sarkis Church, Charlotte NC  parishioners.

Armenian Church of Iraq Primate Leads Country’s Council of Christian Church Leaders on Visit to U.S.
